In the Shadow of our Togetherness.

In this bog oak work I was inspired by Khalil Gibran poem on Marriage.

I carve and sculpt as the seeker seeks with chisel and mallet.

I seek to reveal the hidden shapes of the wood, to explore the place where the stable, the static and the enduring meets eloquent movement.

My work as an artist is about hope, renewal, open to interpretation,  and new beginnings through endeavour and effort. Each sculpture receives meticulous attention and countless hours of sanding and preparation until its bespoke character is borne out.

Deliberate blank spaces are occasionally left in my work to engage viewers imagination and ponderance.

As Gibran says ” Let there be spaces in your togetherness and let the winds of the heavens dance between you “
